85-watt (at 4 ohms) Vintage Reissue of the ’65 Twin Reverb features four 6L6 Groove Tube™ output tubes, four 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 12AT7 preamp tubes, two 12” 8-ohm Jensen® C-12K speakers, dual channels (normal and vibrato), Fender reverb, vibrato, two-button reverb and vibrato on-off footswitch, tilt-back legs, black textured vinyl covering and silver grille cloth.
Comment:
This is a great amp. it is a bit of overkill for a bedroom practice amp which is how I use it. This amp is wonderfully clean. I love the sound when playing my Tele through it. The Strat's active pickups boost the levels and I find I can not crank the volume over about 2.5 before the twin starts making my ears hurt. With the Tele on the other hand I can crank it up to 3.5-4.5 before my ears hurt. This lets the tubes get a little hotter and makes the amp sound much better.
